CSN3442 – Internetworking Technology

Course Description

This course is required for students to expose them to networking hardware such as cables, switches and routers. The students also will need to know how to properly setup these hardware for optimal performance. ​This course provides a general introduction to hardware, devices and software for developing and managing computer networks. It is designed to give students the ability to plan for a new network and managing existing network infrastructure.

Course Outcome

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

  • Justify network components and software required to design, implementation and manage the computer networks.
  • Constructs and configure network equipment such as switches and routers and their interoperability with other network equipment and communication medium.
  • Work as a team to propose and design computer network, identify and troubleshoot problems associated with computer networks.
